Public Sector Safety & Health Fundamentals Certificate Program

Strengthen Your Workplace Through Knowledge

States in New England are enacting laws requiring safety measures be at least as protective as the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) for state and municipal employees. The goal is to stem the high human and financial toll of workplace injury, illness and death. Public sector employees face just as many on-the-job risks and dangers as those in the private sector. By participating in educational courses meeting OSHA’s learning objectives, workers learn to protect not only themselves, but fellow employees. Achievement of a certificate in Public Sector Safety and Health Fundamentals, signed by the OSHA Directorate of Training and Education, pays off in employee well-being and saves the taxpayers costly workers compensation costs. By creating and sustaining a culture of workplace safety, everyone wins!
