Connecticut Roundtables
TRAINING UPDATE: CONN-OSHA Training has gone virtual!
During the this COVID-19 restrictive time, CONN-OSHA training events will now be provided using the live video-based platform Zoom.
On the third Tuesday of every month, CONN-OSHA offers no-cost Breakfast Roundtable Meetings that cover subjects ranging from evacuation plans and fire extinguishers to air quality and ergonomics. The intent of these free 90-minute workshops is to discuss safety and health issues in a supportive and informal environment. The roundtable meetings are held from 8:15 am to 9:45 on the third Tuesday on the month via Zoom.

Western Massachusetts OSHA Alliance Meeting:
The third Friday of each month, 10 am -12 pm: download a Nov 2019 – Dec 2020 schedule.
How to identify the most appropriate equipment to use and their limitations, as well as how to calculate fall distances for the 3 basic types of Personal Fall Arrest Systems (PFAS’s). You will also learn how to collect and calculate the fall protection information required for more complex fall situations and distances and the design requirements for manufacturer’s out-of-the-bag Horizontal Lifelines. Please bring a scientific calculator, or slide rule to training, if possible

ASM Safety Roundtable
The Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts is proud to be part of an alliance with OSHA and the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards (formerly Division of Occupational Safety), to provide the latest in Safety information and resources to ASM members. Under the ASM-OSHA-DLS Alliance banner, ASM holds regular “Safety Roundtables” featuring presentations and informal discussion covering best practices for providing a safe working environment. The 2-hour Safety Roundtables are free and open to all who are interested. Visit the ASM website (www.associatedsubs.com) for specific dates under the “events” tab. Attendees typically include company safety professionals as well as owners, project managers, and insurance specialists – together with representatives of OSHA and DLS.
